Balinese Dancers

Why I painted this.

Balinese dance is a language of its own—every gesture is a sentence, every expression a verse. I remember watching a rehearsal in the early evening light; the dancers moved with such precision that even the air seemed choreographed. There was devotion without spectacle, beauty without arrogance.

This mural is my attempt to translate that moment. I wanted to freeze the fluidity, to show the balance between grace and discipline. For me, Balinese dancers embody how culture can move like water—soft yet powerful, delicate yet unbreakable. Painting them felt like listening to an ancient poem being recited through motion.
